Last year I had the pleasure of attending KataCon in San Diego. It was a great experience with I had the opportunity to meet other Kata practitioners. It was there that I learned about the Kata in the Classroom exercise. I ran this with a small group of engineering professionals last year and it was a hit. Its a really simple way to introduce the improvement kata and it leads to a desire to learn more. Its designed for schools but works equally well within industry. I recommend you check it out here
